ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of aluminium on the concentration of intracellular Ca2+ in the hippocampus neurons of postnatal rat. Methods The hippocampus neurons of postnatal rats were primarily cultured and treated with Al3+ at doses of 0,10,100 and 1 000 ?mol/L. Fura-2-AM calcium ions fluorescence indicator was used to determine the concentration of the intracellular Ca2+ when they were cultured for 15 min,30 min and 45 min. Results The concentration of intracellular Ca2+ in the hippocampus neurons increased with the aluminum concentration increased and as the concentration of the aluminium was 1 000 ?mol/L,at the three cultured time points, the concentration of intracellular Ca2+ were (276.2?53.4) nmol/L,(306.5?73.7) nmol/L and (408.8?79.7) nmol/L respectively, significantly higher than the control group(P

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effect of intrathymic injection of allogenic antigen to sciatic nerve transplantation.Methods:C57BL/6(H-2b) mice were used as donors and BALB/c(H-2d) as recipients. The recipients were divided into four groups: auto-transplantation group, allogenic transplantation group, allogenic transplantation and using immunosuppressive drugs, intrathymic injection group: 3 mol/L KCl MHC antigen extractions were injected into the recipients’ thymus before two weeks before the sciatic nerves were transplanted. In the third week all the recipients underwent immunological detections for IL-2R,TNF-?,mixed lymphocytes culture and apoptosis. Results:All the detections indicated that it was of significant difference between intrathymic injection group and those in allogenic transplantation group. Conclusion:The immunological rejection of allogenic peripheral nerve transplantation can be somewhat inhibited by intrathymic injection of allogenic MHC antigen.

ABSTRACT

Purpose:To explore the development change of histopathology of the mouse forestomach neoplasm inducd by B(a)P.Methods:A part of the mice were killed each four weeks after they were given benzo(a)pyrene (concentration 5mg/ml) by lavage for four weeks, twice per week. The histopathology of the forestomach was then observed. Results:Forestomach neoplasm was noticed from the 17~(th) week in the mice. Local gland hyperplasia, arrangement disorder gradually developing into glandular abnormality hyperplasia and then transformed into early stomach cancer and finally into aggressive stomach cancer could be observed. Conclusions:Latent period of the mouse forestomach neoplasm induced by B(a)P is about three months. The development course is atrophic gastritis, atypical hyperplasia and stomach cancer.[

ABSTRACT

In order to find out the more applicable way in detecting the acute toxicity of environmental pollutants, the author described the luminescent bacteria toxicity (LBT) test on the basis of literature review. In the article, the principle, the current usage both in our country and abroad, and the perspective of LBT are discussed. The results showed that LBT has many advantages such as relative sensitivity, quickness, convenience, and cheapness, while there are some disadvantages such as poor reappearance and existence of some errors in testing.Along with the rapid development of modern equipment and photo electronic techniques in analysis field. The application LBT combined with GC,GC/MS and fluorescence, ultraviolet equipment, will provide a more promising perspective in developing accurate quantitative analysis of the acute toxicity of environment pollutants
